Long-Term Technologies

As part of our turnkey power plant solutions, APR Energy works with several technologies suitable for permanent power and long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs), including solar, combined cycle and HFO. This gives customers affordable power needed for the long term, while delivering it faster than traditional power plants. Working with partners, including GE, we can provide bridge-to-permanent solutions as well as build, own, operate, transfer (BOOT) offerings.

Long-Term Technologies

Aeroderivative Gas Turbines

APR Energy’s TM2500 mobile gas turbines are robust and efficient enough to be used for longer-term PPA contracts and generation needs. This fuel-flexible, aeroderivative technology is based on technology used in many permanent power plants around the world. These turbines can be installed very quickly, integrate into existing plant infrastructure, and can be easily scaled or moved as need warrants. If a more permanent solution is what you need, APR Energy can work with its partner GE to help deliver customers with a variety of larger-scale, higher-speed turbine options.

Combined Cycle

Working with partners such as GE, APR Energy can provide customers with bridge-to-permanent solutions that incorporate combined cycle technology. This enables customers to get power fast, while taking advantage of the greater efficiency that combined cycle systems offer.

Solar / PV

In addition to modular, reclaimable solar solutions, APR Energy can provide full turnkey, permanent PV installations to meet customers’ longer-term needs. These systems can be installed standalone, or be used as part of a complementary hybrid offering with other generation technologies.

HFO

For customers needing an HFO solution, APR Energy can provide small-to-midsize modular plants using HFO generators, ancillary equipment and infrastructure. HFO can save customers significant money in markets where the fuel is available and permitted. Our HFO plants can be provided as a bridge-to-permanent offering or a BOOT option.
