Industrial Power

Industrial companies and military facilities operating independently often require a dedicated source of electricity. An unreliable supply from a local grid or limited access to the main transmission network may prohibit the delivery of electricity required for the customer to sustain production and operations. Industrial customers are dependent upon constant power to ensure that maximum operational capacity is achieved and costly plant outages are avoided. Military power generation projects supply camps with a secure source of electricity, supporting the camp’s operational activities and ensuring the safety of personnel. In both cases there is an ongoing focus on safety, quality of service, efficiency and reliability.

Case Study in Industrial Power

Mozambique

APR Energy was awarded a 10MW contract by Vale, the second largest commercial mining company in the world to provide power for Vale’s Moatize Coal Project in Moatize, Mozambique. Under the terms of the contract, APR Energy will be responsible for all turnkey mobilization, installation and commissioning of the site, working in conjunction with Vale. The Moatize Coal site utilizes APR Energy’s diesel-powered modular generation units, which will have the flexibility to run independently or synchronized with Mozambique’s national utility grid.
