APR Energy has an experienced management team led by one of the co-founders of the business, John Campion. With nearly 100 years of collective industry experience, our management team has a strong understanding of the global power market, its technologies, and the complex nature of project delivery requirements.
Mr. Campion is co-founder and Chairman of APR Energy. Early in his career, Mr. Campion co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Showpower Inc., a portable generator company serving the entertainment industry. Showpower was acquired by GE Energy Rentals, where Mr. Campion held the position of Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Later, Mr. Campion served as President of Alstom Power Rentals, a subsidiary of Paris-based Alstom Power Inc., before it was acquired by Mr. Campion and fellow APR Energy co-founder Laurence Anderson in 2004.
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Ferry has more than 30 years of military and private-sector leadership experience. He served in the U.S. Army assigned to Infantry, Ranger, and Special Operations Units, which included numerous combat tours in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Somalia. He commanded a Special Operations Task Force in Afghanistan and a Rifle Battalion Task Force in Iraq, and was the Director of Current Operations at NORAD-NORTHCOM Headquarters. After retirement, Mr. Ferry was General Manager at ARMA Global Corporation, which he helped grow from 80 employees and $20 million in annual revenues to more than 1,000 employees and $220 million in annual revenues prior to its acquisition by General Dynamics.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. McGann has nearly 25 years of finance and accounting management experience. Prior to joining APR Energy in 2016, he served as Vice President of Finance and later Chief Financial Officer of ARMA Global, an IT services defense contractor. Mr. McGann also was Corporate Controller at the audiovisual technology integration company AVI-SPL, Inc. He spent the first half of his career on assignments in Budapest, Hungary, working as a financial consultant for a private equity group, Chief Financial Officer of Hungarian Telephone & Cable Corp., and an accountant and audit manager for KPMG. Mr. McGann holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Babson College, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Mr. Cavaceppi has more than 25 years of progressive leadership experience in international marketing and market development, and has a strong track record in developing international marketing programs and brand strategy. Mr. Cavaceppi joined APR Energy in 2011. His experience includes 16 years with Lexmark International, a Fortune 500 information technology company, where he held a number of strategic management roles. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in business administration and an international MBA from the University of South Carolina.
Vice President of Human Resources
Mr. Emanuel has more than 30 years of global human resources experience. Prior to joining APR Energy in 2016, he was Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources at CIT. Mr. Emanuel also has held senior human resources positions at Anchutz Entertainment Group, /Bowne & Co./RRDonnelley and Citigroup. Early in his career, he held labor relations and contract compliance positions with organizations in the heavy construction and EPC industries including Kiewit-Shea Constructors, BCC Mechanical and the National Association of Minority Contractors. Mr. Emanuel holds a bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg University, where he studied history and pre-law.
Vice President of Information Technology
Mr. Friederich has more than 25 years of IT technical and leadership experience spanning the chemical, consumer goods and energy industries. He has held senior IT leadership positions as Vice President of IT with Playtex Products, Director of Global Infrastructure at Energizer Holdings and Senior Director of IT at Abound Solar. Mr. Friederich joined APR Energy in 2012. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration - information systems from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
