Is APR Energy part of ALSTOM?
APR Energy, LLC (APR) is a private company. Originally APR was formed as part of ALSTOM Power USA, in 2004 the company separated from ALSTOM but signed a Licensing Agreement with ALSTOM to continue to use the name and its Global Sales Network. In 2008 APR Energy strategically decided to create a new dedicated image and cease the use of the ALSTOM name. However, we will maintain close ties with the ALSTOM Network and will continue to develop strong relationships with many of their in-territory offices.

How long does it take to mobilize and install the equipment?
The amount of time required to mobilize, install and commission a power plant is dependent upon the location of the site and the distribution of the APR fleet at the time of commencement. Once the equipment is on site, installation and start-up can be completed within 15 to 30 days for a typical fast track solution.

Who is responsible for the operation and maintenance?
APR is responsible for all the manpower and spare parts required to operate their power plants. Whilst APR will provide the Site Management and Supervision, local personnel will be employed for the majority of the onsite activities and will be trained in the necessary skills if required.

What is APR’s minimum rental period?
APR will consider any rental period, however our ability to provide the most competitive proposal will be ultimately dependent upon the location of project site and equipment availability in that region.

What happens if we are unsure of the eventual rental period?
APR offers some of the most innovative and flexible contractual formats in the Fast Track Power Market. A minimum rental period will be required, but multiple options can be offered at the end of the term. The options could include, month-to-month extension, negotiated extension for a specified duration, full contract renewal, equipment purchase or transition to a more sustainable longer term technology.

We do not currently have gas available on site, only diesel, do you have dual fuel equipment available?
APR has dual fuel gas turbines available which can operate on either natural gas or diesel fuel. Alternatively APR can also offer a hybrid solution, by providing a rapidly deployed temporary diesel generation solution and then seamlessly transition into a more economical longer term gas fired solution as gas becomes available on site.
