Mr. Campion is co-founder and Chairman of APR Energy. Early in his career, Mr. Campion co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Showpower Inc., a portable generator company serving the entertainment industry. Showpower was acquired by GE Energy Rentals, where Mr. Campion held the position of Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Later, Mr. Campion served as President of Alstom Power Rentals, a subsidiary of Paris-based Alstom Power Inc., before it was acquired by Mr. Campion and fellow APR Energy co-founder Laurence Anderson in 2004.
Mr. McLean is a Portfolio Manager at Hamblin Watsa Investment Counsel, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fairfax Financial. He is the International Portfolio Manager for Fairfax insurance subsidiary investment portfolios in the Middle East/Africa (Gulf Insurance Group), Singapore (First Capital Insurance) and Malaysia (Pacific Insurance). Mr. McLean is currently on the board of Gulf Insurance Group based in Kuwait, AFGRI Ltd and First Capital Insurance. Initial work experience was in the public accounting profession including work in audit and tax. Subsequently Mr. McLean entered the investment management profession as an investment analyst working for an Institutional Investment Manager in Toronto, Canada focusing on international equities (Europe and Asia). He is a Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA designation).
Mr. Schwartz is Managing Partner at ACON Investments. Previously, Mr. Schwartz was the founder of Constructivist Capital, which worked with family offices and other capital providers to evaluate illiquid investment opportunities and was a Managing Director at Avenue Capital Group. Earlier, he held positions of increasing responsibility, culminating in Managing Director, at Fenway Partners and was an investment banker in the Financial Sponsors Group at Salomon Smith Barney. Mr. Schwartz has co-led investments in or served as a Board member for numerous private companies prior to joining ACON, including Simmons, Riddell Bell Sports, 1-800 Contacts, Commonwealth Laminating, i-Robot and Harry Winston. He currently serves on the Board of Igloo Products, and is Chair of the Audit Committee of CION Investment Management and a member of the Board of Directors of STVT-AAI Education (d/b/a Ancora Education), a group of private, post-secondary schools located in Texas and Arizona.
Mr. Wernink, Managing Director at Albright Capital Management (ACM), has more than 20 years of experience on Wall Street, including 16 years in emerging markets and 13 years in emerging markets private equity. At ACM, he has focused on investments in electric power, financial services, agribusiness, clean technology and infrastructure sub-sectors. Before joining ACM, Mr. Wernink was a Director of Citigroup Venture Capital International, where he was responsible for the origination, structuring, and management of private equity investments in Latin America, the Caribbean and the U.S. Hispanic market, including investments in telecommunications, media and environmental services. Earlier, he was a Vice President of Citicorp Securities, Inc. originating and structuring syndicated leverage and asset-based loans. Mr. Wernink has served on the board of directors of Electro Sur Medio SA, Promotora Ambiental, SA de CV, Cablemas, SA de CV, Digicel Limited, and Avantel Holdings, Ltd.
Mr. Bawa is a Partner at ACON Investments. Prior to joining ACON in 2005, he was an Associate with Constellation Commodities Group where he was responsible for origination, structuring, evaluation and negotiation of the firm’s principal investments. Mr. Bawa has also held corporate finance and principal investing positions with Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, Enron Capital & Trade Resources and Banc of America Securities. In addition to APR Energy, Mr. Bawa serves on the Board of Directors of the following ACON fund/investment vehicle portfolio companies: ProEnergy, Saga Resource Partners and White Oak Resources VI. He also is an observer on various ACON portfolio company boards. Previously, Mr. Bawa served on other ACON portfolio company boards, including among others, Chroma Oil & Gas and Milagro Oil & Gas.
Mr. Bentinck is President and Chief Executive Officer of Potash Ridge Corporation, a TSX-listed company. He also serves as a consultant with Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited and a director at Manabi S.A. He previously worked for Sherritt International Corporation, a multinational resource and energy company, where he held a number of senior executive positions, including Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President Capital Projects. He is a Chartered Accountant (Scotland) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (Ontario).
