APR Energy Awarded 203MW Contract by Tokyo Electric Power Company: Initial Shipment of APR Energy’s Temporary Power Equipment Headed to Japan
Wednesday, May 18, 2011JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA APR Energy LLC, a leading provider of major turnkey temporary power generation services, has been awarded a 203MW contract by Tokyo Electric Power Company, Inc. (TEPCO), to provide the utility with a fast-track power solution following the tragic Tohoku-Chihou-Taiheiyo-Oki Earthquake and associated tsunami on March 11, 2011 that caused damage to the nation’s energy grid. In order to ensure the fastest possible delivery and installation, APR Energy air freighted its first shipment of Mobile Gas Turbines from Bradley International Airport, near Hartford, Connecticut yesterday evening.
