Company Background
ALSTOM Power Rentals (APR) was established in August 2001 as part of the Customer Service Segment of ALSTOM Power Inc. and located in Jacksonville Florida During late 2001 and early 2002, APR’s Management Team was formed from industry professionals with a broad range of experience in the field of power generation. Within a few months APR was awarded its first temporary power contract in Sri Lanka.
The Company continued to operate within the global ALSTOM Power organization throughout 2002 and 2003, executing a number of successful fast-track power projects. However, in order to provide the flexibility required to facilitate the growth of this new business, in early 2004 a decision was made to de-merge APR from corporate ALSTOM.
In March 2004, the ownership of ALSTOM Power Rentals was transferred to APR LLC, but the relationship with ALSTOM Power was maintained through an official Marketing and Licensing Agreement. The agreement also allowed APR the use of the ALSTOM brand name.
Most recently, after almost 7 years of association with ALSTOM, we changed our name to APR Energy, LLC, effective July 1st, 2008. APR Energy is already recognized as one of the leading companies in the global market for Fast Track Power Rental Projects.
APR continues to be located in Jacksonville, Florida. The dedicated staff both at Headquarters and on sites throughout the World remains unchanged and will undoubtedly ensure the ongoing success of this business.
APR will remain in close contact with our friends at ALSTOM and work in conjunction with them whenever the opportunity arises.

Through innovative financing and our knowledge and experience of the generating industry we can provide a complete turnkey solution to meet with your specific operational and financial requirements.
APR has completed numerous fast-track power rental projects throughout the World based on a variety of generating technologies. We have proven to our customers the extent of our flexibility from both a technical and commercial perspective, delivering a range of different contracts from simple power rental, to the much more complex Power Purchase Agreements, including fuel management. We have also continued to demonstrate our ability to execute projects in very short periods of time, even in the most challenging environments such as Sri Lanka, Mexico and Haiti.
Our strategy remains the delivery of fast track turnkey power solutions and ultimately the supply of reliable and cost effective kilowatts to our customers. APR will continue to embrace new technologies and other innovations to ensure that we are a leader in this field and that we can continue to provide all our customers with a World Class service.
